About GRE:

GRE, Graduate Record Examination. Anyone who wants to pursue a Master’s course in any stream other than management, law or medicine. There are two types of test in GRE one is General Test & Subject Test.

General Test has been acquired over a long period of time & that are not related to any specific field of study. General test is a computer based test. Subject Test is intended for students who have majored in or have extensive background in specific area. Subject test are paper-based test it is taken only if universities ask for it. Any accredit able graduate or professional school, or any department within a school, may require or recommend that its applicants take the General Test, Subject Test or both.

Usually universities require general test score. Most universities in the US, while inviting applications from prospective students, ask for GRE scores.

The Test Content:

The general test will measure by following modules: Verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking &analytical writing.
Subject test has eight subjects.

The Test Score:
The total score for general test is 1600, out of which 1300 and above is considered good. Students can see their score the moment they finish the exam, but official scores take approximately 21days to reach to the given address.

The Test Fees:
The test fees for general test fee are US $ 130.
